WEEK 1

Gathering and Carrying Tools

Gathering and carrying tools are tools used by farmers to collect farm produce together and take them to more convenient place where they can be used. Gathering tools are used to gather farm produce or debris on the farm. Examples of gathering tools are:

  1. Rake
  2. Garden fork
  3. Spade

Carrying tools are used to convey or carry farm produce from the farm to the store, house or market. Examples of carrying tools are;

  1. Basket
  2. Head pan
  3. Wheel barrow

EVALUATION: Mention two carrying tools.

WEEK 2

Uses of Gathering and Carrying Tools

Rake: For gathering debris on the farm.

Garden Fork: For collection of rubbish on the farm

Basket: For carrying farm produce.

Pan: For carrying farm produce or water from the house to the farm
