Sub-Topic 1: DEFINITION OF TERMS

Internet: It means International Network. It is the global communication of system. It is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard internet Protocol suite to serve billions of users worldwide. It is the largest computer network in the world.

It is the network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies.

  1. Browse: Browsing simply means to view the contents of a file or a group of files. When you are searching for information and downloading information content from the internet, then we say you are browsing or surfing the internet.
  2.  Browser: Browsers are softwares that are used to view the information contents stored on different computers on a network. It can also be known as web browser which is a software application for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.
  3. Chatroom: It is a real time (instant) online conversation between many computer users on the internet. A chat room is a part of an online service, such as facebook, that provides avenue for internet users with a common interest to communicate in real time.
