Most of the answers the candidates proffered were irrelevant to the questions because they merely narrated stories. It was obvious that such candidates did not understand what was required of them in the questions.

- Candidates should endeavour to buy all the prescribed texts and study them thoroughly.
- Qualified teachers should be employed to teach Literature-ln-English in schools.
- Candidates should be discouraged from relying on mere summary texts or keynotes in preparation for the examination.
Candidates’ Strength
Few candidates exhibited in-depth knowledge of the texts and were able to tackle the questions as expected.
Candidates who studied the texts were able to deliver direct annotations from the texts and were able to draw their points to logical conclusion.
