Content:

Clay soil is a type of soil that can be used to mould different types of objects.

Clay soil is sticky and can absorb much water. They can be used to mould different objects like cups, pots, plates e.t.c. They are also used in building houses known as huts.

Evaluation: The Teacher asks the Pupils to:

  1. Describe clay soil.

Week: 2nd week

Class: Basic two

Topic: Type of clay soil

Behavioural objectives: At the end, the lesson pupils should be able to: At the end of the lesson pupils should be able to :

  1. Mention different types of clay soil.

Instructional material/Reference material: white clay and red clay

Content:  There are two types of clay soil, namely;

White clay: They are smooth and fine powder used for moulding different objects

Red clay: They are often found around us. In the river, school compound.

Evaluation: Teacher asks pupils to:

  1. Mention two types of clay soil.
