Content:
A national symbol is a symbol of any entity considering and manifesting itself to the world as a national community: the sovereign states but also nations and countries in a state of colonial or other dependence. National symbols are symbols of authority that are constitutionally ordered to be respected as the figure of the country’s authority, government, and people
Examples of national symbols are:
- The National flag
- The National map
- The National anthem and pledge
- The constitution
- The National currency
- The mace
- Coat of arm
- The seal of the president
- National passport
- The court of law.
