CONTENT

Useful and Harmful Insect

Insect are small creatures with six legs and a body divided into three parts. Insect also have wings that makes them to fly from one place to another. Useful insect are insect that are useful to farmers in various ways. Examples of useful insects are:

1. Bees help the farmers to produce honey.
2. Butterfly helps to produce pollination.
3. Termites help to improve soil structure.

Examples of harmful insect;

1. Grasshopper:They eat the plant leaves
2. Beetle:They destroy farm products like yam, beans.
3. Weevil:They destroy farm product like rice, maize.
