Candidates underperformed in the area testing the following:
- Poor mathematical representation.
- Poor understanding of projectile motion, lasers, solar power station, energy, etc.
- Inability to express themselves in good and simple sentences

- Inability to draw conclusions from calculations or solved problems.
Suggested Remedies
Based on the observed weaknesses, the Chief Examiners recommended as follows:
- More attention should be paid on topics like circular motion and simple harmonic motion
- Physics teachers should endeavour to solve mathematical problems after each lesson.
- Candidates should study and not read Physics
- Candidates should practice exercises from recommended textbooks
- Qualified and experienced Physics teachers should be employed
- Government should equip school laboratories with apparatus for effective learning
