CONTENT

Things God created

The planet earth which we now live on was not always like this. There was a time when it was shapeless and empty. There were no plants or trees, no rivers, no animals and no human beings. In fact, the earth was dark as there was also no sun, no moon or stars. God used six days to create the earth and nature as we know it. The whole of creation is a sign of God’s love. He created light first and that is how day and night began. The second day God created the sky. The third day, God created the land, the seas, planets and trees. On the fourth day, he created the sun, the moon, and the stars. And then the birds and sea animals were created on the fifth day. On the sixth day, God created the rest of the animals – those that live on land. On that same day, God created man.

God made man in his own image

Now, when God created man, he made him special. Man is God’s excellent creation. He made man to be just like himself. That means that man was made to resemble God. This does not mean that man’s face looks like God’s. It means God made man a spirit being just like God is a spirit being.

WEEK 2

God made man in his own image

Now, when God created man, he made him special. Man is God’s excellent creation. He made man to be just like himself. That means that man was made to resemble God. This does not mean that man’s face looks like God’s. It means God made man a spirit being just like God is a spirit being.

God made man intelligent. It means man can think like God thinks, and do things like God does them. In fact, God made man so much like himself that he was confident that man would be a good master over all the things that he had created. After the six days of creation, God rested on the seventh day.

When God made man, he put within him the ability to create things like God did. God is very creative. He made man creative just like himself.

We all have the ability to create. God also gave man the instruction to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Since then, man has created houses and buildings, cars to drive, airplanes to travel far distances in shorter time, rockets to fly to the moon, clocks to tell the time, machines to make work easier, telephones to communicate with our friends, relations and other people, games to have fun with and many more things. As long as man is alive, he will keep on creating things. You are a creative person. Did you know that?
