Admission Requirements for Masters Degree
A Bachelor’s Degree with at least an upper Second-class honor; OR
A Bachelor’s degree with a lower Second-Class Honors and two years’ work experience in a related field, OR
A Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on 4.0 scale (B+) or the equivalent, from an accredited University.
Masters Degree Duration
Two (2) years (4 Semesters).
Other Requirements
- Interested candidates shall complete the application form on the University portal and provide all relevant documents as specified on the application form, including certificates of degrees and/or diplomas, academic transcripts, reference letters, statement of purpose, concept note on the proposed area of research.
- Candidates who are Nigerian citizens shall, in addition, provide the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge, exemption or exclusion certificate.
- Each candidate shall request and ensure that the institution(s) attended process and forward official academic transcript(s) directly to the registrar via email
- Only candidates whose transcripts have been received shall be considered for admission.
Admission Requirements development Studies (PhD)
Academic requirements
To be eligible for the admission, a candidate must satisfy the following academic qualifications:
- Holder of a Master’s degree in Development Studies or an equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by Senate.
- Holder of master’s degree in relevant social sciences recommended by the Faculty Board and approved by Senate.
Additional requirements
- Have two recommendation letters from academic instructors from the applicant’s previous degree program.
Administrative requirements
The Candidates will submit applications on the prescribed forms for admission to the University through:

The Director will ensure that the applicant has provided:
- Two sealed official transcripts of the master’s degree awarded.

Academic requirements
To be eligible for the admission, a candidate must satisfy the following academic qualifications:
- Hold a Masters degree from a chartered University or an accredited university. These include MTh, MA Religious Studies, MA in Theological Studies, Masters in Mission Studies or any other relevant qualification.
- Have two reference letters, from the previous graduate School, and pastoral letter from a religious leader.
- Candidates from non-English speaking countries shall demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Show promise future usefulness to church and society.
- Demonstrate ability to handle doctoral work in English.

- All candidates are interviewed by at least two members of Faculty Doctoral Committee who shall recommend to the Academic registrar for appropriate action.

Admission Requirements Business Administration and Management (PhD)
Minimum entry requirements Business Administration and Management
To be eligible for admission into degree of doctor of philosophy, a candidate must be a holder of a master’s degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
Other admission requirements
Subject to the approval of senate, faculties may formulate regulations requiring applicants to have obtained such academic or equivalent qualifications as are considered necessary for registration within the academic area of interest of the faculty.
Form and Duration of the Programme
- Form of the programme
The doctor of philosophy in business administration and management programme shall be offered in modular and full-time modes of study over a period of three years.
- Duration of the programme
The doctor of philosophy in business administration and management programme shall be a 9-trimester programme. Each trimester will be a 15 weeks duration including one week of examination.
