In order to gain admission into any higher institution, be it University, Polytechnic, or Colleges of Education to study a particular science course, some specific requirements are needed from each applicant for the course in question which they are applying for. Some of those requirements which include having a minimum of Credit in chemistry in the O-Level examination (WAEC, NECO, GCE, etc.)

For some reasons, most science aspirants end up getting a D7 in chemistry, which seems to shortlive their hope of getting shortlisted for that year’s admission

Below is the list of Suggested courses to study with D7 in Chemistry

B.Sc in Computer Information and Communication Studies – An O’level credit pass in Chemistry is not compulsory.

B.Sc in Physics – D7 in Chemistry is most times considered

B.Sc in Geography
The basic requirements are five (5) O level passes in; English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and any two (2) from Social Sciences or science. Hence, the presence of D7 in chemistry is not a barrier

B.ed in Agricultural education – D7 in Chemistry is most times considered
B.Sc in Biology – D7 in Chemistry is most times considered
B.Sc in Mathematics – D7 in Chemistry is considered since chemistry is not required to study this particular course.

B.Sc in Economics – D7 in Chemistry is optional since chemistry is not required to study this particular course.

Statistics – The O ‘level requirements are Mathematics and at least three subjects from Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Economics, and Geography. which means you can study statistics in most universities that offer statistics with D7 in chemistry.

Building/Building technology

Building technology is a science major that accepts chemistry since chemistry is not required to study this particular course.
