REFERENCE MATERIAL: Lantern Comprehensive Home Economics. Book 2

EVALUATION: Pupils are evaluated thus:

  1. Mention four objects for decorating the home.
  2. What do we do in the toilet?
  3. Mention two types of toilet
  4. State two ways of cleaning the toilet.

WEEK: Two

CLASS: Basic Two

SUBJECT: Home Economics

TOPIC:  Body grooming

BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

  1. Define body grooming
  2. State the ways of taking care of the body

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL: Pictures, charts, soap, tooth brush, etc

REFERENCE MATERIAL: Lantern Comprehensive Home Economics. Book 2

BUILDING A BACKGROUND: Pupils have been taking care of their body

CONTENT:

BODY GROOMING

Grooming refers to the things that people do to keep themselves clean. When we take good care of our bodies, we will look nice and our bodies will be free from germs.

We can take care of our bodies in the following ways:

Step2: Teacher introduces the new topic.

Step3: Teacher explains the new topic.

Step4: Teacher welcomes pupils’ questions.

Step5: Teacher evaluates the pupils
