CONTENT:
SUB-TOPIC 1: MEANING OF CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION.
A citizen of a state or country is a person who has the legal right to enjoy all the rights and benefits of that state or county.
Citizenship is the legal status of an individual in a state or country.
Citizenship Education according to an author is the conscious efforts and activities came up by the government to inculcate in the young people and adults knowledge, virtues, norms values, attitudes and notions of acceptable manner of behaviour as a means of building of strong nation.
In another sense, civic education is the process of teaching and learning ones responsibility to the state as responsible citizens of the country. It is introduced in schools to create awareness.

SUB – TOPIC 2: DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS OF CITIZENS TO THEIR COMMUNITIES.
Duties are activities a person is expected to do as a result of societal, social or family expectation. Something you have to do because it is your responsibility.
