WEEK 1

TOPIC: Meaning and Important Of Technology Method

Technology means invention, including tools, machines, sources, and techniques of power that make work and lives easier for people. Both computers and phones or mobiles are the only technology. Technology is when people used knowledge to create a new thing to solve existing problems.

Technology makes it easy to match and lighter instead of stones to produce fire.

Technology is the application of science for practical purposes, especially at home, in school, in the office, and in industry.

IMPORTANCE OF TECHNOLOGY

1. Helps in preserving: The use of salt, drying, frying, and freezing of substances in order to preserve them.
2. Technology helps create means to cook easily: The use of stoves, gas, and electric cooker makes cooking easy.
3. Technology makes our clothes easy to wash: The use of washing machines makes clothes easy and faster to wash when compared to using bare hands.
4. Technology helps makes food and water very easy to access: With the use of technology, these items are easily delivered to people who needed them.
5. Technology helps save time
6. Communication becomes effective through the means of technology

TOPIC: Products Of Technology

There are various products that have been produced and developed through knowledge and technology means. In today’s class, we will look into products of technology and their use.

1. Banking: Atm machines, counting machines, computers, CCtv cameras, etc are all products of technology used in the banking sector.
2. Communication: The use of phones, translators, radios, speakers, and microphones are products of technology used in communication.
3. Combine harvesters, Plough, Drones, tractors, pesticides, insecticides, irrigation machines, and many more are all products of technology used for farming
4. Technology in the home are television, Refrigerator, Cooking utensils, water dispenser, pots, spoons and many more are all products of technology used in the home.
5. Businesses make use of technologies like Photocopy machines, Printers, Fax, Air conditioning, thumbprint etc
6. We all need to move from one place to another. Hence, vehicles, cars, buses, bicycles, ships, canoes etc. are all technology products used in the area of transportation
