The College of Education, Lanlate, Oyo State is situated in Lanlate town along Lanlate/Iseyin road in Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo State. The College has two sites. Site A is adjacent to Obasanjo Farms. Site B is slightly opposite the site A.
The College of Education, Lanlate, is an autonomous institution with the primary objective of producing highly qualified and motivated teachers in courses of instruction leading to the award of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).
The law establishing the College of Education, Lanlate, Oyo State, was enacted by the State House of Assembly in December, 2014. On April 25, 2015, the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi signed the law establishing the College of Education, Lanlate, Oyo State, thus making it an autonomous College of Education. Today, the College operates at two sites covering over 100 acres of land at each site. In line with NCCE guidelines, there are six schools.
