Speech Work: Monophthong (Revision)

1. /i: / e.g. beat, seat, neat, key, meet, lead, beast etc.
2. /i/ e.g. bit, sit nymph, kid, skill, nip, bib etc.
3. /e/ e.g. bed, bread, said, many, red, leopard. etc
4. /æ/ e.g. cat, lack, pack, cab, cast, blast
5. /a: / e.g. car, dart, calm, heart, clerk
6. / ɒ / e.g. pot, what, gone, mop mob, etc
7. /ᴐ:/ e.g. war, pork, saw, sword, craw, law.
8. /u/ g.  good, cook, put, could, should, look
9. /u: / e.g. pool, blue, screw,
10. /Ʌ/ e.g. cut, come, blood,
11. /з:/ e.g. first, purse, earn,
12. /Ә/ e.g. about, baker, sailor,
