SUB TOPIC 1: REWARDS AND IMPORTANCE OF RIGHT ATTITUDES TO WORK

Right attitude to work has many rewards which include high productivity, efficiency, progress, recognition, improved national image.

  • Higher productivity: – The right attitude to work leads to higher productivity. This means individuals produce more and give their best which in turn leads to general improvement in the output and quality of work.
  • Efficiency: – An efficient worker is a productive person who can do a lot within a shortest time frame. Efficiency is the bye product of the right attitude to work.
  • Progress:- An individual with a right attitude to work will progress in every areas of human endeavour. People should not be lazy, little beginning with dedication leads to great achievement and progress.
  • Recognition:- There will be internal and external recognition accorded to the person or nation that has the right attitude to work.
  • Improved national image:- A country or an organization that has workers or citizens with the right attitude to work will earn the respect of international community thereby improving its national image and also improves the corporate image of the organization.

EVALUATION:

  • Highlight five rewards of right attitude to work
  • Explain three of these rewards.

SUB TOPIC 2: CONSEQUENCES OF NOT HAVING THE RIGHT ATTITUDE TO WORK

CONTENT:

  1. Declining productivity
  2. Lack of motivation
  3. Indiscipline
  4. National disasters

Declining productivity: Negative attitude to work makes people produce little or nothing due to lack of interest, commitment and dedication.

Lack of motivation: When a worker exhibits negative attitude to work, he or she will not be motivated inform of incentive, this makes the individual indifferent and attaches less importance to work.
