PRODUCTION OF VARIOUS OBJECTS USING SIMPLE WOODWORK MACHINES AND TOOLS

For example: wooden tables, stools, boxes, photo frames, tee square, pot stand, book rack, book stand, shelf, etc.

These are simple woodwork projects students can choose from.

Working Procedures:

1. Prepare timber to length, width and thickness.
2. Make the template for the project. This can be made of paper or cardboard. Here your drawing skill is required.
3. Transfer template shape to wood.
4. Remove waste with coping-saw
5. Accurately shape with spokeshave
6. Smoothly with glass paper, medium, then fine.
7. Drill hole for hook.

1. Straight peen hammer
2. Pincer
3. Saws
4. Jack plane
5. Spokeshave
6. Try square
7. Small bradawl
8. Twist drill, etc
