Energy is one of the basic needs for all mankind that is necessary for survival and societal development.

Solar Power

These solar panels convert energy from sunlight directly into electricity. Solar power is a renewable source of energy—it will never run out.

Effects of energy on society

Energy has become more necessary in the following areas:-

1. Machines and factories, buses, cars, trains and planes, ships and submarines require energy.
2. Energy is being used for running clocks and watches, typewriters, shaving razors etc. Without energy, many things will be paralysed.
3. Energy is used in banks, hospital, schools, ports, telecommunication industries, media houses, homes etc.

Flat-Plate Collector

A flat-plate collector uses the Sun’s energy to warm a fluid such as water. The water flows through tubes and heats a house.
