Nigeria’s Educational Systems Need To Be Future-Oriented

Samuel made the statement on Thursday while speaking at a panel session during the second edition of Ogun Youth Development and Empowerment Summit organised by Junior Chamber International, Rockcity.
Speaking on the theme: “Digital Economy: Skills and Opportunities,” Oluremi, popularly known as Senior Alaga of Nigeria (SAN), noted that the world is evolving, adding that “if we desire to be on the train of development, we need to move along with the industry trends by adding our own uniqueness to it.”
While lauding the organisers, Samuel harped on the need to create a school for the training of Masters of Ceremony, adding that the veteran practitioners shouldn’t be excluded from such digitalisation.
“Our educational systems needs to be future-oriented. Cultures have shifted and we need to move with them.
“Traditional weddings have evolved today. Everyone has a story to tell at weddings these days and digital tools make that possible.
“With digital economy, while you’re playing, you’re making money. While you’re making money, you’re also influencing cultures digitally,” she added.
The summit was attended by Mr Dimeji Bello of Cardios Capital, Mr Debo Omololu of GetFundedAfrica, Mr Peter Onole, Mr Emmanuel Adegoke, Olori Aminat – Saka Matemilola, among other innovators in the digital and tech industry.
