BUK 2021/2022 Session Resumption Date Extended
Quote from Sunday on ,The senate of Bayero University, Kano at its 392nd meeting held on Wednesday, 22 September, 2021 had approved the extension of the resumption date for the 2021/2022 new academic session to 1st November, 2021.
According to a statement by the Acting Registrar Malam Jamil Ahmad Salim, said the decision to extend the resumption date by one month was informed by the desire to accommodate many candidates whose 2021 SSCE results are yet to be release.
"The Senate at its 392 meeting held on Wednesday, 22 September, 2021 while reviewing the admission process noted the JAMB Policy which mude download of all candidates ordinary level results (WAEC, NECO and others) mandatory before any institution could propose candidates for admission. It was also observed that about 90% of the candidates who qualify for admissions by scoring 180 points and above are waiting O' level results."
Consequently, the statement added in view of the fact that, the NECO results would be officially released in the first week of October and the hope to give many candidates the chance to qualify for the admission, Senate decided to extend the resumption date by one month in order to accommodate as many candidates as possible to reduce the number of drop out."
The Registrar said the new session (2021/2022) would now commence on 1st November, 2021 while lectures are to start by 8th November, 2021.
