2021/2022 Akwa Ibom Polytechnic HND Admission

Application are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into two years National Diploma Programme

SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCE Higher National Diploma in (a)Computer Science (b)Statistics (c)Science Lab. Technology with option in: Chemistry Biochemistry Physics with Electronic Microbiology Environmental Biology (1a) The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma In computer Science, Statistics and Science Laboratory Technology is at least a lower Credit pass at the National Diploma Level obtained from an NBTE-Accredited Institution. Candidate must have satisfied the minimum requirements into the National Diploma Programme in Computer Science, Technology respectively, and completed the one year post-ND industrial work experience.   (1b) Candidate with pass level in National Diploma in Statistics, Computer Science or Science Laboratory Technology obtained from an NBTE-accredited programme and who would produce evidence of at last two years post-ND industrial work experience, may also apply.
SCHOOL BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES Higher National Diploma in: AccountancyBusiness Administration Office Technology and Management (2a) The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration and office Technology and management is at least a lower credit pass at the National Diploma Level obtained from the NBTE-accredited Accountancy, Business Administration, Office Technology and Management,
Marketing and public Administration Programmes. Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirement into the National Diploma Programme in Accountancy, Business Administration, Office Technology and Management Marketing, Banking & Finance and Public Administration respectively and completed the one year post-ND industrial work experience.   (2b)  Candidate with Pass level in National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration, Office Technology & Management, Marketing, Banking & Finance and Public Administration and who would produce evidence of at least two year post-ND industrial work experience, may also apply.
SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION ARTS Higher National Diploma in: Mass Communication (3a) the entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma In Mass Communication is at least a lower Credit pass in National Diploma in Mass Communication obtained from an NBTE accredited institution. Candidate must have also satisfied the minimum requirements in Mass Communication and completed the one year post –ND industrial work experience.   (3b) Candidate with pass Level in National Diploma in Mass Communication and who would produce evidence of at least two years post – ND industrial Work experience may also apply.
SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING Higher National Diploma in: Electronic Engineering with option in: Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering (4a) The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma In Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology is at Least National Diploma at Lower credit Level obtained from  the NBTE – accredited Electrical/Electronic Engineering  Programme. Candidate must have also satisfied the minimum requirement into the National Diploma Programme in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and completed the one year industrial work experience scheme.   (4b) Candidates with pass level in National Diploma in Electrical /Electronic Engineering and who have had at least two years post-ND industrial work experience may also apply.
SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES Higher National Diploma in Architectural Technology Building TechnologyEstate management and ValuationQuantity Surveying Urban and regional Planning (5a) The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma In Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying and Urban and Regional Planning is at least a National Diploma at Lower Credit Level Obtained from and NBTE-accredited institution. Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirement into the National Diploma programme in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying or Urban and Regional Planning and completed the one year industrial work Experience Scheme.   (5b) Candidates with pass Level in National Diploma in Architectural technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying or Urban and Regional planning and who have had at least two years post-ND industrial work experience may also apply.

N/B:

students who graduated with National Diploma in Marketing and Public Administration may also apply for Admission into Higher National Diploma in Accountancy and Business Administration provided such candidate meet departmental requirements including at least a credit pass in one science subject in GCE, NECO or WAEC

METHODS OF APPLICATION

  1. Candidates should visit the school website https://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng. click online application, then generate an invoice with the following details: Phone Number and Name
  2. Candidates should go to any Commercial Bank in Nigeria with their invoice (RRR Number) to purchase an electronic application PIN and make payment of ₦8,000 (Eight Thousand Naira) and obtain a PIN (INCLUSIVE OF BANK AND OTHER CHARGES)
  3. Application should therefore be completed by visiting https:www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng. with the obtained pin to complete the application with the following steps:

Highlight “Admissions” and select “Application Forms” then select your choice of programme and insert, the obtained PIN (Confirmation Order) in the appropriate form to complete the application.

  • Candidate should upload the following documents to the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic’s Portal:
  • Attach 1 year industrial Attachment Latter
  • Official  ND transcript/Statement of result
  • Photocopy of the registration receipt

N/B: There shall be no physical Aptitude Testing. The mode of Aptitude Test shall be based on a dedicated calibrated format.
