hydroxyl ions/photolysis of water occurs. Hydrogen ions are transferred.
NADP accepts hydrogen ions and becomes NADPH2/NADP reduced.
Hydroxyl ions pass through series of chemical reactions to yield oxygen and water.
Oxygen and water are released as by-products.
