ABSU Direct Entry Requirements for Biochemistry

• Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or any biology related courses such as Zoology, Botany, SLT, etc.
• Crossing from biology-oriented departments in the same school is allowed but the candidate has to apply appropriately by following the laydown guidelines by the institution with good JAMB score.
• The candidate must meet up with UTME requirements and score high mark in the exam.

ABSU UTME Requirements for Biochemistry

The candidate must have Five credit passes in SSCE including:

• English Language
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Biology

NOTE: Geography, Agricultural science, and even Mathematics are not needed.

Most importantly, the candidate must score high in UTME exam with a minimum of {200, this varies annually and with general performances in the UTME}.

ABSU O’Level Subject Combinations for Biochemistry

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics

Other subjects that can be advantageous depending on the school is agricultural science, however, the subject cannot match up with any listed subject above. Do well to have a minimum grade (“C”) in all the subjects because anything less of that might be a challenge in being considered.
